Our Scholarship Program

Investing in Brighter Futures

The Commonwealth Credit Union Foundation Scholarship Program was created to help individuals take their next step in life—whether that means earning a college degree or developing a skilled trade. Grounded in our mission to better lives through financial empowerment, this program supports students who are ready to build their future but need financial assistance to make it possible.

Each year, the Foundation awards five renewable scholarships, each valued at $2,500 per year and worth up to $10,000 per student over four years, to individuals who demonstrate financial need, commitment to their goals, and a desire to make a positive impact in their communities. The scholarship is awarded annually and may be renewed for up to four consecutive years, provided the student continues to meet eligibility requirements, submits required documentation each year, and maintains satisfactory academic progress as defined by their institution. The maximum total scholarship award is $10,000, distributed across eligible academic years as determined by the Foundation.

This is a need‑based scholarship, designed specifically for students who face financial obstacles on their path to higher education or skilled training.
